Spider's Path

a tiny epic poem about a tiny magical spider

one glorious day deep in the jungle in a cozy silk bed a spider hatches different from its brothers and sisters tinted a strange black and red despite its odd color like all her children he was beloved by his mother what does life have in store for our curious friend's tour?

our spiderling friend ready for his destiny to begin raises his butt toward heaven spinnerets primed he can feel the wind's draw it is time! strong, luxurious silk flows out and upwards the breath of the jungle hits the thread and away our friend flies from his homestead

magic spiderling bearing the red spiral rune flies high, far, and fast so much further than one would reasonably assume looking back his siblings are already landed but him? his horizons are rapidly being expanded he'll land soon on the canopy under the light of the moon

alone and isolated under dark sky and bright moon our soft squishy spider friend starts to moltt it hurts its weird our friend is full of fear exoskeleton emerging all of a sudden it experiences holy energy light and nurturing Luna speaks clear 'my young friend, i am here'

'i know this feels wrong you are so far from home trust me when i say you will survive this day when you have molted as many times as you have limbs you will understand what you are and i promise youll find yourself in love's arms once more' the goddess address the spiderling

KRAKOOM a storm begins bringing rain again our friend has just molted shivering and in pain the giant drops will flood and kill if he does not summon his will so by activating natural spinners the spiral spiderling weaves and shimmies its way down from the canopy!

in the hollow of a tree safe from the storm feeling like it can rest easy our spiderling homie continues to evolve into it's natural adult form it ponders it's journey it contemplates the moon it watches it's body harden and strengthen another molting completed all too soon

the storm has passed some more strength our spiderling has amassed thrice more it has molted while it waited out the tempest it's body grows larger the rune on its back grows brighter oh? what's that i hear? caw! caw! oh no, that's a bird, i fear. the spiderling must depart.

moving as fast as its little legs can go the spiderling rapidly departs the hollow why leave such a safe cozy space? because my friend, in there, he cannot escape! a bird's beak has quite a reach and energy to scratch and scrape weave a thread head out into night instead

swiftly with unnatural skill this spider youth spins and shimmies on its thread escaping just as the bird turns its head in pain, another molt coming on determined, our spiderling friend scurries down a branch, and leaps down into a mysterious tunnel what awaits him now?

our hero blind with pain awakens disoriented carried down the tunnel lane by an escort of ants dutifully making their way his body convulses, final molting begun these poor creatures have picked up something that maybe has predatory features...

tossed down in a pile of favors our spiderling friend finds itself in the chamber of the royal ant queen, whose mouth waters curious about this strange spider's flavor this timing is less than ideal because the fated hour is here ARGH our spider friend molts for the 8th time

BANG!!! A BRIGHT RED FLASH the ants and their hungry queen blinded and confused for being so rash snapping, cracking, pulsing, smacking our spiderling emerges from the remains of its youth a full grown spider hungry, powerful in touch with its truth Luna smiles from heaven

the ants realize that they done fucked up what they thought was a light snack was to be their ultimate doom! the mature spider with the spiraling red rune flexes its spinneret and with webbing floods the room the ants are all caught, stuck and helpless our hero hungers!

empowered with a satiated belly a full grown spider emerges from the remains of the mound smiling and happy our spider homie witnesses something crazy happen! a young spider lady, fleeing cruel scorpions in our hero's soul something pulses he spins a kite and flies to her!

loved by the wind our spider soars above the pursuing monsters its kite released this badass arachnid lands on top of a pursuing scorpion a scorpion, dumb as a brick attempts to sting it but our friend has sped on the stinger pierces its own heart dead now the game is on

lady spider with a familiar sigil a blue crescent, beautiful and shining swoons at the courage of the spiral champion two scorpions remain completely enraged our hero confident glowing red its fires off a magical, forked thread that slices and cuts off another scorpion head!

one scorpion left big and mad it too bears a sigil! yellow, circular, and rad it points its stinger and a beam of golden venom attempts to burn the spider in red! using all 8 legs he rolls out the way weaving and threading a trap with great attention to detail i must say

our spider brother dances all around this hungry scorpion, angry and proud bolt after bolt of deadly venom laser attempts to fry and pierce our lovable spider skirt-chaser the lady spider giggles and smiles deeply impressed by our hero's abundant wiles

the spiral on our friend's back shines brighter than ever before! our spider's skillful trap is ready the pin ready to be pulled the scorpion, angry beyond belief fires one more time at our homie who stands in front of a tree...

ZZZZZAP the golden beam strikes the wood piercing clean through! the tree groans, felled by the scorpion's unholy magical might our spider homie smiles and laughs, his trap a success the scorpion tries to move out of the way but a spiraling red web, denies his escape!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO the golden scorpion screams the tree comes down hard crushing it into paste shaking the jungle floor alerting all that our spider homie don't play! now that they are officially acquainted two magic spiders leave to go on a date :)

what a wonderful time it was full of love, action, and play our grown, mature hero made this lunar spider lass' day! the two decide to make it a thing so together they weave their web threads glowing red and blue their home glows with love as we reach the moment of truth

in a moment of privacy surely they deserve it they continued the cycle of life as all spiders know it a powerful egg sac was crafted and filled to the brim from the union between them the game completed it's time for the reveal the moon shines to let us know what's real

under the light of Luna a prophecy is completed a man, proud and black, covered in spiraling red runes stands together with his lover, glowing with the soft blue light of the moon they remember the game they were playing to see if again they would meet

the god, sometimes spider, sometimes man smirks, as if it was obvious a conclusion foregone 'my lady. we'll always combine. how could i ever lose an ass so fine' she punches him 'you're so crude, my beloved husband.'

they kiss and they laugh how lucky they are to live so wild and fast. they look into each others' eyes and renew their vows 'forever, i'm yours' they say at the same time

The End.

with Love, Genius, and Playfulness anansi, the soul director divine artist of the gods may we always remember it's all just a game
